Possibly the most mysterious and romantic city in the world.  Located  in the northeast area of Italy on the Adriatic Sea, it is one of the most visited cities.   It does not dissapoint with its scenic canals, lagoons and alleys that wind through over 100 small islands. 

The architecture in Venice is quite different from Tuscany and other regions of this diverse country.  Strong influence from the Byzantine Empire can be seen, along with Rennaisance and Gothic styles.

Dining in Venice is an experience to savour.  Seafood is, as would be expected, the primary entree, and most restaurants have many unique offerings.  However, dining out has many other facets such as location, atmosphere and more.

"La Serenissima", as Venice is fondly called, should be a must see on your list.
